Resumo: The uroliths formation in the urinary tract is a frequent complication in the clinic of dogs and cats and their presence leads to important clinical manifestations, with great discomfort to the patient. Minimally invasive techniques for the removal of uroliths contribute to the patient's welfare, avoiding long postoperative periods associated with various complications. The aim of this work is describe the clinical findings and complications of two minimally invasive techniques: voiding urohydropropulsion and expulsion urinary bladder lavage (a urohydropropulsion modificated technique). Medical records of twelve patients were studied, two submited to voiding urohydropropulsion and ten to expulsion urinary bladder lavage. The expulsion urinary bladder lavage is a modified urohydropropulsion technique by addition of lubricating solution to the method, to facilitate the uroliths expulsion. The results was presented by descriptive analysis. All patients with voiding urohydropropulsion, and five patients with expulsion urinary bladder lavage presented complications after the procedure, including: hematuria, dysuria, urinary tract infection and obstruction, while no complications were observed in five patients with expulsion bladder lavage. this finds reveled that the expulsion urinary bladder lavage promote less complications after the procedure compared to voiding urohydropropulsion, with greater comfort to the patient in the postprocedure.

Universidade PositivoBrasilMedicina VeterináriaUPMosko, Patrícia Erdmannhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4471964819918081Araújo, Débora Pereira deChibicheski, Jaqueline2022-03-24T17:19:16Z20222022-03-24T17:19:16Z2021info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/3308porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2022-03-24T17:20:08Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/3308Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2022-03-24T17:20:08Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false
