Resumo: The forest certification system in chain of custody are equivalences and show the same proposes: avoid the desforestation of native areas and comunicated to consumer the no controversy root for forest wood raw material. The base for these certifications are the chain of custody process. The chain of custody audit is the instrument used for guarantee the legitimacy this processes in chain of custody. We proposal chain of custody audit in manufactures industries for forest wood products. We raised the main systems of environmental certification and chain of custody from this survey were compared with the requirements of these systems to develop model audit chain of custody. With this model was tested for three manufacturing industries in forest products of origin for timber validation check list. As a result, from the conformity assessment procedures for chain of custody in the three industries by applying the proposed check list, the audit model in the chain of custody proved applicable in the version 0.0.

A base dessas certificações ambientais florestais são os processos de Cadeia de Custódia, sendo que a auditoria de Cadeia de Custódia é o instrumento utilizado para garantir a idoneidade dos processos em Cadeia de Custódia. Este trabalho objetivou propor modelo único de auditoria de Cadeia de Custódia em indústrias de manufatura de produtos de origem florestal madeirável. Foram levantados os principais sistemas de certificação ambiental em Cadeia de Custódia e a partir desse levantamento foram comparados os requisitos destes sistemas para desenvolver o modelo de auditoria em Cadeia de Custódia. Com o modelo desenvolvido houve teste em três indústrias de manufatura de produtos florestais de origem madeiráveis, na Região Sul do Brasil, para validação da lista de verificação.
