Resumo: The environmental impacts caused by the Morretes lanfill leaches in the soil and durface water were studied. Morretes is a touristy city of Paraná State in Brazil and its landfill has 2.148,36 km² of total area and daily receives approximately 6 tons of solid waste. Samples of leachate and surface waters were collected in February, related to the end of high tourist season, and April of 2007. For the February collected leachate were found the more basic pH value (8,46), highest results in the Chemical and Biochemical Oxigen Deman (COD 4160 mg/L and BOD 585 mg/L) and solid contend (11473 mg/L) The total and fecal coliforms, analyzed only for the February samples, presented high values (1,6 X 10^5 e 2,4 X 10^4 respectively). For the April collected sample it was found the highest values for the solids contend (11473 mh/L), alkalinity (1100 mg CaCO3/L) and heavy metal (Chrome 0,5 mg/L and Lead 3,2 mg/L) parameters. For the surface water samples, the highest values results were found in the April sampling and for the lowest altimetry point. Samples of the soil close to the water points were also collected at four deep layers, and the heavy metals and organic matter contend were highest for the lowest altimetry point and notably different for the others regions. As a result, in the lower soil layer sampled (70-100 cm) it was found greatest values for the lead, zinc and copper contend (132, 290 e 230 mg/kg, respectively). The overal results are indicative of the tourist season influence and that the landfill studied, without soil isolation is causing leacheate contamination thought the underground water that comes out in the lowest altimetry point

Universidade PositivoBrasilPós-GraduaçãoPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Gestão AmbientalUPJanissek, Paulo Robertohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2920738978371608Sautter, Klaus Dieterhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6533165854449384França, Marcio Luis Sottile2021-06-25T19:34:40Z20072021-06-25T19:34:40Z2007info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/2328porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2021-08-04T13:46:56Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/2328Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2021-08-04T13:46:56Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false
