Resumo: The growing and gradual degradation of the environment represent one of the great challenges of contemporary society. One problem that is getting worse, especially in developing countries, by uncontrolled urbanization, which shows a tendency antagonist to the natural balance. At no other time in history the man needed both a paradigm shift, and a renewed education and liberating, a complete dossier, which promotes the development of a more realistic understanding of the world. In this context, the Environmental Education plays a key role as a tool in the search for more sustainable societies. In the municipality of Curitiba-PR, of the Basin Muller Ribeirão suffers increasingly gradual deterioration of the quality of its waters, a consequence of inadequate attitude from the Community population Jardim Gabineto (CJG). Therefore, this work, aimed to discuss and develop, through methodology based on the model called Analysis of Need for Socio-educational intervention (ANISE), which consists of three stages: Survey, Diagnosis and Decision Making, a model for Sustainable Development with Emphasis on Education, which will result in a change of behavior and attitudes relating to the conservation and preservation of the environment. For both, was characterized by community around the Muller Ribeirão on the local resources, socio-economic impact generated by the occupation and disorderly and evaluated the level of knowledge and awareness of people in the community for the environmental aspects locations. Was evaluated through the application of structured questionnaires, the perception of teachers and students from schools in the community (under formal) and residents (under non-formal). Overall, the results show that the community suffers with the environmental impacts that are generated by both the lack of knowledge and the low awareness of the residents for the environmental aspects, especially the places. In addition to matters related to the change of behavior on the part of residents, to improve the current state of degradation of Muller Ribeirão, it is still necessary investments in sanitation. Finally, proposals are participatory education-which were established from the diagnosis of the community, and involving the care that the population should have with the environment, resulting in a socio-educational model of sustainable environmental rehabilitation and maintenance, which is replicable the other communities.

Um problema que se agrava, sobretudo em países em desenvolvimento, pela urbanização descontrolada, o que demonstra uma tendência antagônica ao equilíbrio natural. Em nenhum outro período da história o homem precisou tanto de uma mudança de paradigma, e de uma educação renovadora e libertadora, um processo completo, que promova o desenvolvimento de uma compreensão mais realista do mundo. Nesse contexto, a Educação Ambiental tem um papel fundamental como uma ferramenta na busca de sociedades mais sustentáveis. No município de Curitiba - PR, a Bacia do Ribeirão dos Müller sofre cada vez mais gradativa deterioração da qualidade de suas águas, conseqüência de uma postura inadequada por parte da população da Comunidade Jardim Gabineto (CJG). Sendo assim, o presente trabalho, visou discutir e desenvolver, através da Metodologia baseada no modelo denominado Análise das Necessidades de Intervenção Sócio-educativa (ANISE), que é constituído de três fases: Levantamento, Diagnóstico e Tomada de Decisão, um modelo de Desenvolvimento Sustentável com Ênfase na Educação, que culmine em uma mudança de comportamento e atitudes relacionadas à conservação e preservação do meio ambiente. Para tanto, foi caracterizada a comunidade ao redor do Ribeirão do Müller quanto aos recursos locais, aspectos sócio-econômicos e impactos gerados pela ocupação desordenada e avaliou-se o grau de conhecimento e conscientização da população da comunidade em relação aos aspectos ambientais locais. Foi avaliada, por meio da aplicação de questionários estruturados, a percepção de professores e alunos das escolas da comunidade (âmbito formal) e dos moradores (âmbito não-formal). De uma maneira geral, os resultados demonstram que a comunidade sofre com os impactos ambientais que são gerados, tanto pela falta de conhecimento como pela pouca conscientização dos moradores em relação aos aspectos ambientais, principalmente os locais. Além dos aspectos relacionados à mudança de comportamental por parte dos moradores, para melhorar o atual estado de degradação do Ribeirão dos Müller, faz-se necessário ainda investimentos em saneamento básico.
