Resumo: The term low back pain is related to pain in the lumbar spine, it is estimated that 30% to 60% of cases are linked to occupational activities. The treatment of disorders of the lumbar spine requires an entire multidisciplinary team, with the specific objective of controlling pain, promoting well-being and returning functionality. Physical therapy has several therapeutic resources for the rehabilitation of these individuals, among them, one of them is the functional elastic bandage (BEF). Thus, the aim of the present study was to verify, through an integrative literature review, whether the use of BEF promotes pain reduction in individuals with low back pain. in electronic databases: PUBMED/NLM (National Library of Medicine), MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online) and SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online). The screening was carried out using the descriptors in Portuguese: neuromuscular taping, low back pain or low back pain and in English: Kinesio taping, back pain, low back pain. Randomized clinical trials that used the use of BEF in the treatment of low back pain were selected. independently by two reviewers. Eleven articles were selected and included in this review. In conclusion, we suggest that it is necessary to carry out more studies with the use of NMB in individuals with low back pain, as the results obtained in the different studies analyzed are favorable but still controversial. In conclusion, most studies analyzed demonstrate that BEF has been shown to be an effective treatment resource for low back pain, demonstrating in addition to results in pain reduction, improvement in balance, and, consequently, in increased functionality, however it should be used as a complementary method to therapy.

Universidade PositivoBrasilFisioterapiaUPSantos, Vinícius Coneglianhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0687424660405426Silva, Breno Benedito daDelucien, Wendy2022-04-20T18:10:44Z20212022-04-20T18:10:44Z2021info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/3514porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2022-04-20T18:12:01Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/3514Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2022-04-20T18:12:01Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false
