Resumo: | Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is a condition of hyperglycemic state during pregnancy, can lead to outcomes that are not favorable to the fetal maternal binomial, has frequent occurrence and a strong tendency to increase its incidence; its study is important to avoid possible complications with potential death. In this scenario, it is pertinent to update through the literature, on safety in the management of an oral antidiabetic to control this pathology. Identify from scientific studies or use of metformin in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, an end of clarification, no current panorama, your solution for glycemic control in conjunction with safe pregnancy, as well as possible neuropsychomotor effects in the child. This is an exploratory bibliographic review, regarding the use of metformin without control of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, using as databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO ) and National Library of Medicine (PUBMED). A strong tendency was then identified to support the use of metformin in DMG, since, in the literature, no impediment was found to its management during pregnancy, there were positive results regarding the normalization of maternal and newborn blood glucose, with weight and neuropsychomotor development applied with age, however, long-term evaluation, receiving more studies, end of observation, if there is a long term, there is some negative impact on life exposure to a metformin. |

Uso de metformina na diabetes mellitus gestacional: uma revisão bibliográficaMetforminaDiabetes Mellitus GestacionalHiperglicemia GestacionalCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::MEDICINAGestational Diabetes Mellitus is a condition of hyperglycemic state during pregnancy, can lead to outcomes that are not favorable to the fetal maternal binomial, has frequent occurrence and a strong tendency to increase its incidence; its study is important to avoid possible complications with potential death. Centro Universitário de João PessoaBrasilUNIPÊBaggio, Maria Cristina Rolimhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4297151796663862Ferreira Filho, João Rosier2021-01-21T18:11:00Z2021-01-222021-01-21T18:11:00Z2020-07-17info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/1309porALQUDAH, A. et al. Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is a condition of hyperglycemic state during pregnancy, can lead to outcomes that are not favorable to the fetal maternal binomial, has frequent occurrence and a strong tendency to increase its incidence; its study is important to avoid possible complications with potential death. |
