Context: In mid-2012, the Republic of Mali was seized by a coup orchestrated by the Tuareg ethnic group allied with islamic fundamentalist groups from the Azawad region of Northern Mali. A large part of the country was taken and this armed conflict endures until the present day. The same has drawn the attention of the United Nations Organization for the high rate of recruitment and use of child soldiers in conflicts. Objective: This research prioritizes examining the effectiveness of the UN in cooperation with France and the European Union in reducing the inclusion of children in the context of new wars in the Republic of Mali. Method: The research is based on the documentary method, analyzing Security Council reports and resolutions in order to verify the measures, approaches and actions taken by the organizations. Results: It was found that the performance of the institutions present there has been insufficient to solve the situation of high recruitment of children due to lack of military resources, secure bases, vehicles and troops. Conclusion: Based on these results, it is possible to conclude that there is a lack of commitment on the part of institutions to gather the necessary resources to reduce the high level of violence against civilians, especially children.
