The surgical and clinical routine of dogs and cats is composed by many cases that need analgesic therapy. Lasertherapy is a method that can be used as an alternative to the common therapy, the pharmacological. Without clue of deleterious effects, can be indicated for patientes with drug restrictions. In this study, was elaborated a quis that was delivered online to veterinarian doctors, to obtain data related to the perception of these professionals about the use of lasertherapy as an analgesic method in dogs and cats. The aim of this study is to determine the veterinary practioners knowledge of lasertherapy, its use, benefis, applications and contraindications.. The results were enlightening for the knowledge about the existence of the modality, its application as an analgesic method and the frequency of laser used in the clinical therapy, because the answers obtained few divergent results. At the end it was not possible to establish a profile of Veterinarian who knows and uses laser therapy in their patients because the results of age, region, specialty and time of training varied greatly
