This work aims to explore in detail the Russian motivations in the Middle East with a focus on the Syrian war issue, such as understanding what political gains the Russian Federation could gain from the conflict, the economic gains in which the region represents and the importance of maintaining strategic allies in the region. We will appreciate the historical part of the conflict and review what are the interests of the global actors involved not only in the conflict, but also the gains that this region has made since the times of the Soviet Union. We will talk about the divergences of gains and losses of those involved in the conflict, in addition to using maps and graphs to exemplify the motives and ambitions of those involved, in addition we will use the views of several indoctrinators with great contributions to this issue. We will see some cases of alliances that have been forged between the countries of the Middle East region and the newly formed Russian federation with the aim of blocking the advancement of Western interests in the region, and show why an expansionist plan is necessary for the new Russian policy. The economic gains of the main actors in the conflict will also be explored, thus justifying that political movements are even nowadays interfering in the stability of the Middle East.
