Resumo: This work aims to develop a case study of hybridization of the Small Hydroelectric Power Plant Itaguaçu, located in the municipality of Pitanga in Paraná. The study evaluates the implementation of photovoltaic, wind and biomass plants that can work hibridly in conjunction with the hydroelectric plant already built in order to increase its capacity factor. The technical, economic and environmental issues of this implementation are evaluated with the final objective of increasing the plant's yield. The dimensioning of the photovoltaic generation source is limited by the space available at the plant not only on the ground, but also as a floating plant. For the biomass generation, the biggest capacity limiting factor is the availability of material with agricultural residues of the cities of Pitanga and Boa Ventura do São Roque, close to the plant, as source. Wind generation was assessed but the low average wind speed at the site assessed already suggested its infeasibility. The minimum distance between turbines also limited the maximum wind capacity that can be used on site. The results obtained through the analyzes performed show the photovoltaic and biomass sources with greater viability, with the first having been made with greater precision and proving to be the most viable source for hybridization due to the shorter payback time, good increase in capacity factor and greater reliability dimensioning. The hybridization of the plant with photovoltaic generation is classified as an associated hybrid generation since, although independent, the plants use the same infrastructure for electricity transmission, increasing the capacity factor of the structures from 0.486 to 0.5405, representing a 10.49% change.

Universidade PositivoBrasilEngenharia de EnergiaUPMilano , Jackson-http://lattes.cnpq.br/2212982390487524Iastrenski, Karen TechyMaia, Weliton da2022-03-04T21:28:01Z2022-03-012022-03-04T21:28:01Z2020-12-01info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/3222porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2022-03-04T21:29:42Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/3222Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2022-03-04T21:29:42Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false
