Representação social da competitividade no setor hoteleiro de luxo em Curitiba: um olhar de um grupo de funcionários à luz da psicodinâmica do trabalho

Resumo: | This research was conducted with workers in the hotel industry in Curitiba. This part of the methodological analysis of the social representation of these workers is related to competitiveness, with the purpose of identifying the dimensions in the psychodynamics from this representation, more specifically, the feelings of pleasure and pain experienced by these workers inside the organizations. That is, considering as its main purpose of social representation analysis, this study uses the psychodynamics of work to identify determining factors present not only in the organizations, but also in the testimonies from workers interviewed for this study. This research argues the suffering experienced by workers caused by organizations who possess, as a fundamental element, the productive managerial practice. Regarding the theoretical reference, we first used the core aspects of competitiveness and globalization, showing how this phenomenon affects the psychic health of individuals placed in these organizations. Later, other aspects were explored, such as the subjective and psychodynamic approaches, the social representation, and the competitiveness in hotel organizations. The methodology used adopts a qualitative analysis and an analytical approach, following Moscovici’s theory of social representations, and consists of interviews conducted with a group of workers in the hotel industry, who were represented by a group of six people, formed by employees and former employees. From the interviews, concepts related to singularities, aggressiveness, rates and improvements were identified as elements of anchoring and objectification of the social representation. The main points outlined for analysis of the psychodynamics of work were: pleasure and pain at work, defensive mechanisms, precarious work, success and failure, manipulation and leadership. As for the results, it was possible to identify within the answers and manifestations from the workers interviewed, that the communicative distortion and the manipulation are recurring practices of power and control in the organizations in the hotel industry. This structure allows for the worker’s consecutive suffering, and then he or she starts to experience unstructured working conditions, and struggles to reach a balance that can keep him or her in his or her position within the organization. |

A análise metodológica da representação social desses trabalhadores sobre competitividade teve como intuito identificar as dimensões da psicodinâmica a partir desta representação, mais especificamente, as relações de prazer e sofrimento vivenciadas pelos trabalhadores nessas organizações. Ou seja, considerando como objeto de análise a representação social, o estudo parte dos pressupostos da Psicodinâmica do Trabalho visando identificar elementos condicionantes nas organizações e presentes na retórica dos entrevistados. A pesquisa apresenta como ponto central a relação de prazer e sofrimento do trabalhador ocasionado pela manipulação dessas organizações, que possuem como elemento fundamental a prática produtiva gerencialista. A respeito do quadro teórico de referência, trabalhou-se inicialmente com os aspectos no que concerne à competitividade e globalização, evidenciando de que forma esse fenômeno afeta integralmente a saúde psíquica dos indivíduos inseridos nessas organizações. Seguidamente, procurou-se explorar as abordagens da subjetividade e psicodinâmica, representação social e competitividade nas organizações hoteleiras. A metodologia empregada adota a análise qualitativa, e a abordagem analítica segue a proposta de Moscovoci sobre a Teoria das Representações Sociais articulada por meio de entrevistas realizadas com um grupo social de trabalhadores do segmento hoteleiro representado por 6 (seis) entrevistados, dentre eles funcionários e ex-funcionários. Foram identificados como elementos de ancoragem e objetivação da representação social de competitividade para esses trabalhadores, conceitos relacionados a diferenciais, tarifa, agressividade e melhorias. Os pontos norteadores para a análise da Psicodinâmica do Trabalho foram: prazer e sofrimento no trabalho, mecanismos de defesa, precarização do trabalho, sucesso e fracasso, manipulação e liderança. Quanto aos resultados, foi possível identificar nas respostas e manifestações dos entrevistados que a distorção comunicativa e a manipulação são práticas recorrentes de poder e controle nas organizações do setor hoteleiro.
