Yellow Fever is a communicable infectious disease caused by an Arbovirus of the genus Flavivirus, transmitted through the bite of the mosquito Aedes aegypti, where its severe form can lead to death. In 2017 there was again an outbreak of the disease, which has monkeys as an indicator because they are infected by mosquitoes in the wild and die with the disease, and the majority of the population took the initiative to execute the monkeys by deduction that the animal was the transmitter of the disease. The present study aims to analyze the degree of knowledge about the vector and to clarify for these participants the role played by monkeys in the biological cycle of the disease. A research questionnaire was used with objective questions for the population of several regions where several monkey executions took place, and with that , inform those who do not know who is the true vector of the disease.
