Resumo: | Introduction: The new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) discovered in the city of Wuhan, China, in late 2019, is highly contagious, causing severe pneumonia in some cases. The damage to the respiratory system caused by COVID-19 is due to an acute systemic inflammatory response, which can cause destruction of the lung parenchyma with extensive consolidation and interstitial inflammation, leading to changes in the pulmonary functional pattern. Studies have reported that patients recovered from COVID-19, especially those who developed a more severe condition of the disease, present important multisystemic impairments, caused by the disease and muscle dysfunction acquired during hospitalization, with important physical and functional limitations after their recovery, requiring multiprofessional intervention. Physiotherapy is essential in the recovery and return of patients who contracted the COVID-19 virus to their daily activities, including those who did not need the Intensive Care Unit. Objective: Search the literature for studies that address physical therapy intervention in the rehabilitation of adult patients after COVID-19 who presented pulmonary sequelae. Methodology: We opted for the literature review study, carried out through scientific articles on pulmonary rehabilitation after COVID-19, published in the virtual databases SciELO, PubMed, Google Scholar and PEDro between 2020 and 2021, in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Results: The total number of articles found in the aforementioned databases was 225, of which 06 were selected and 219 were excluded, totaling 06 articles after reading in full. Subsequently, a qualitative description of the data was carried out, with tabulation of the authors, year of publication, study objective, methodology and study results. Conclusion: Through this study, it was possible to verify that pulmonary rehabilitation is of paramount importance for the improvement of persistent symptoms after COVID-19. It was also possible to verify that there are no pulmonary rehabilitation programs developed specifically for post COVID-19, being important the development of further research on the subject. |

Universidade PositivoBrasilFisioterapiaUPMendes, Giorgia Carolinehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9408417019616664Réus, Beatriz Rodrigues GomesRibeiro, Carla Carolina2022-04-20T15:32:20Z20212022-04-20T15:32:20Z2021info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/3502porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2022-04-20T15:35:48Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/3502Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2022-04-20T15:35:48Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false |
