Os efeitos da espiritualidade para pacientes com sintomas depressivos: uma revisão bibliográfica

Resumo: | Spirituality, seen for centuries with a very critical eye for science, has been born in academic works in Medicine, being identified a great occurrence in situations of adverse life, having doctors, scholars and patients in previous studies a relevant importance in their lives, in contrast to the little discussed in the office. And in view of its high prevalence in patients with diseases, with depression becoming more and more relevant nowadays, it is necessary to research the influence that spirituality has on the requirements with depressive symptoms, in order to define the possible effects that the same exercises the patients. Therefore, it is necessary to review depressive symptoms in a population with religious practice and to describe the relationship between quality and spiritual well-being and depression. A bibliographic review is then carried out, which will be basic, deepening the theoretical knowledge on the subject, with a descriptive objective, identifying the characteristics of these patients and a qualitative approach, which will be carried out between January and May 2021. The sample composed by selection of cross-sectional studies, evaluating or associations without spirituality, religiosity and spiritual / religious practices and their relationship with depressive symptoms, published from 2015 and will be organized for analysis in a synoptic table. Therefore, it appears that in patients who scored on spirituality scores there was a decrease in depressive symptoms, with the same observed in patients with higher levels of well-being and quality ofspiritual life. In view of this, we found a negative association between spirituality and depressive symptoms in the sample of this research, requiring further studies to be developed using different groups in different regions. |

In view of this, we found a negative association between spirituality and depressive symptoms in the sample of this research, requiring further studies to be developed using different groups in different regions.A espiritualidade, vista durante séculos com um olhar bastante crítico pela ciência, tem recebido atenção nos trabalhos acadêmicos em Medicina, sendo identificado uma grande ocorrência em indivíduos em situações adversas de vida, tendo médicos, estudantes e pacientes referido em estudos anteriores uma importância relevante em suas vidas, em contraste com o pouco abordado no consultório. E tendo em vista sua alta prevalência em pacientes que apresentam doenças e, sendo a depressão cada vez mais relevante na atualidade, torna-se necessário pesquisar sobre a influência que a espiritualidade exerce sobre os indivíduos com sintomas depressivos, com o objetivo de descrever os possíveis efeitos que a mesma exerce nesses pacientes. Para tanto, faz-se necessário fazer uma revisão dos sintomas depressivos numa população com prática religiosa e realizar a descrição da relação entre qualidade e bem-estar espiritual e depressão. Realiza-se, então, uma revisão bibliográfica, de finalidade básica, aprofundando o conhecimento teórico sobre o assunto, com objetivo descritivo, identificando as características desses pacientes e abordagem qualitativa, que será realizada entre janeiro e maio de 2021. A amostra será composta pela seleção de estudos transversais, que avaliassem ou associassem espiritualidade, religiosidade e práticas espirituais/religiosas e sua relação com sintomas depressivos, publicadas a partir do ano de 2015 e serão organizados para a análise em um quadro sinóptico. Diante disso, verificase que em pacientes que pontuaram em escores de espiritualidade houve uma diminuição dos sintomas depressivos, com o mesmo sendo verificado em pacientes com maiores níveis de bem-estar e qualidade de vida espiritual.
