Resumo: Acne is a very common skin disease that can affect about 85% of the population of both sexes at some stage in life, beginning normally at puberty. This disease can generate physical repercussions, such as scarring, psychological, such as low self-esteem, social inhibition, depression, and social ones such as unemployment, which can be minimized through appropriate treatment. Among the treatments for the improvement of the scars generated by acne, is the microneedling, which helps in the formation of a tissue that fills the scar, reducing its appearance, as well as improving the blood supply. Therefore, the objective of this study was to carry out an integrative review on the effects of microneedling in the treatment of acne scars. This research was characterized by being of the bibliographic type (integrative review) with secondary data from the analysis of the already existing literature, and with an exploratory character. The literature search was carried out through the existing databases: VHL and Google Scholar, from February to May 2020, using the keywords: microneedling, scar and acne as their search strategy, and their respective English correspondents: microneedling, scarring and acne. Journals that, after having their abstracts analyzed, did not correspond to the objective of the study or publications repeated in the databases, were excluded. It can be seen in the results 10 articles used, where 3 articles addressed the application of microneedling associated with chemical peeling, 1 compared it with the laser, 7 articles presented satisfactory results and 3 did not demonstrate non-positive results. It can be concluded that the results, for the most part, pointed out that the use of microneedling can promote several benefits to patients, as it stimulates the formation of a tissue that fills the scar, however more studies must be carried out to obtain more reliable results. and satisfactory

Essa doença pode gerar repercussões físicas, como cicatrizes, psicológicas, como a baixa autoestima, inibição social, depressão, e sociais como o desemprego, que podem ser minimizadas através de um tratamento adequado. Entre os tratamentos para a melhoria das cicatrizes geradas pela acne, está o microagulhamento, que auxilia na formação de um tecido que preenche a cicatriz, reduzindo a sua aparência, assim como melhora o suprimento sanguíneo. Diante disso, o objetivo desse estudo foi realizar uma revisão integrativa sobre os efeitos do microagulhamento no tratamento de cicatrizes de acne. Esta pesquisa caracterizou-se por ser do tipo bibliográfica (revisão integrativa) com dados secundários a partir da análise da literatura já existente, e com caráter exploratório. A busca na literatura ocorreu através das bases de dados existentes: BVS e Google Acadêmico, no período de fevereiro a maio de 2020, utilizando como estratégia de busca as palavras-chave: microagulhamento, cicatriz e acne, e seus respectivos correspondentes em inglês: microneedling, scarring e acne. Foram excluídos os periódicos que após terem os seus resumos analisados não corresponderam ao objetivo do estudo ou as publicações repetidas nas bases de dados. Pode-se observar nos resultados 10 artigos utilizados, onde 3 artigos abordavam a aplicação do microagulhamento associado ao peeling químico, 1 o comparou com o laser, 7 artigos apresentaram resultados satisfatórios e 3 não demonstraram resultados não positivos.
