Resumo: | One of the main factors for improving the productivity of a herd is nutrition, which interferes with body weight and condition, influencing several reproductive processes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of two flushing programs on the reproductive development of Texel lambs. Twenty-one sheep were used, 20 lambs aged between 10 and 11 months, and a 3-year-old male from a property in Colombo-PR. The females were randomly divided into two groups of 10 animals each. Weight and body condition score (ECC) were monitored before and after food influence, and estrus manifestation was checked. For the supply of flushing, the animals received different amounts of feed according to the group, where group 1 received 400 grams and group 2 800 grams, formulated with 19% crude protein, exceeding the basal requirements for animals in this age group, composed of corn, soybean meal, soybean cone and sheep nucleus. Food was provided for 60 days, divided into two periods: initial 30 days, without the male; and 30 days later, with the presence of the male; responsible for covering and signaling estrus expression in females. Through the present study, it is concluded that the use of flushing resulted in weight gain and increased ECC for the animals of group 2, which received 800 grams daily, obtaining a strong correlation between the variables. The increase in ECC also occurred in animals in group 1, despite the weight variance, which indicates a positive influence of supplementation even in smaller amounts. There was no statistical difference in terms of estrus expression and the relationship with the amount of feed provided between groups during the study period. |

Universidade PositivoBrasilMedicina VeterináriaUPGalanhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1201007653448641Paquete, Bianca DalmazBertolin, Gabriela2022-03-24T17:11:04Z20222022-03-24T17:11:04Z2021info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/3306porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2022-03-24T17:12:01Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/3306Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2022-03-24T17:12:01Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false |
