Resumo: The Law 11.340/2006 (Maria da Penha Law) completed 14 years on August 7, 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic in which social isolation was adopted by most governments to contain the advance of the virus. Considered innovative at the time of its creation, the Law provides mechanisms to curb and prevent domestic and family violence against women, however these mechanisms have not been sufficient to contain the wave of violence that ravages Brazilian homes in the midst of the pandemic and only in the first 4 months of 2020 the reports increased 14.1% over the previous year. Based on it, this article aims to analyze the impact of the isolation measures and the increasing denunciations as well as the victims' access to the Brazilian Judiciary.
