Virtual reflexive groups for men perpetrators of gender-based violence in pandemic

Resumo: In recent years, researchers and scholars of male behavior in society – masculinities – have revealed that man, within the established and internalized cultural standards of patriarchy is privileged and also the victim of a process that, since childhood, encourages him to despise the female sex and everything that historically is related to it. From this perspective, the objective of this article is analyze how gender conscious is promoted by “RenovAÇÃO-homens (renovAction-Men) Project”, in the virtual format, as a protective factor to mental health, and the new ways of relating, thinking and being in the world. It is a reflexive and psychoeducational group for men who are perpetrators of domestic violence within the RenovAÇÃO project, implemented by the subsecretaria de atividade psicossocial of Brazilian Federal District Public Defender’s Office. In methodology, we used the semi-structured questionnaire, from four open questions, in the Googleforms form plataform, with the men participating in this Project.

In methodology, we used the semi-structured questionnaire, from four open questions, in the Googleforms form plataform, with the men participating in this Project.Nos últimos anos, pesquisadores e estudiosos do comportamento masculino em sociedade – masculinidades – têm revelado que o homem, dentro dos padrões culturais estabelecidos e internalizados pelo patriarcado, é privilegiado e também vítima de um processo que, desde a infância, o incentiva a desprezar o sexo feminino e tudo o que, historicamente, é relacionado a ele. A partir desta perspectiva, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar em que medida o Projeto RenovAÇÃO-Homens, no formato virtual, promove uma consciência de gênero que funcione como um fator de proteção para a saúde mental, como novas formas de se relacionar, de pensar e estar no mundo. Trata-se de um grupo reflexivo e psicoeducativo para homens autores de violência doméstica dentro do projeto RenovAÇÃO, implementado pela subsecretaria de atividade psicossocial da Defensoria Pública do Distrito Federal.
