An american look at library and IC: foundation from the south

Resumo: This article is derived from the conference An American Eye on Library Science and IC held at the XIII Meeting EDICI 2022, with the objective of presenting an epistemological proposal, Libraries of Abya-Yala through an American Eye that exposes or interweaves the proposal through or recognition of places of enunciation in the Global South, insurgent epistemologies, which for Abya-Yala correspond to the philosophies of the South, analytical frameworks used to address library science and CI, and a host of conceptual categories that support the discussions around this proposal. It ends by presenting the characteristics and progress of the research program published in 2018 and its challenges.

It ends by presenting the characteristics and progress of the research program published in 2018 and its challenges.Este artículo es derivado de la conferencia Una mirada amefricana a la bibliotecología y la CI llevada a cabo en el XIII Encuentro EDICI 2022, tiene como propósito presentar la propuesta epistemológica, Bibliotecas desde Abya-Yala a través de una mirada amefricana que expone los entrecruzamientos de la propuesta a través del reconocimiento de lugares de enunciación en el Sur Global, epistemologías insurgentes, que para Abya-Yala corresponden a las filosofías del Sur, marcos analíticos usados para acercarse a la bibliotecología y CI y un andamiaje de categorías conceptuales que sustentan las discusiones alrededor de esta propuesta. Cierra presentando las características y avances del programa de investigación publicado en 2018 y los retos y desafíos de este.Este artigo é derivado da conferência ‘Um olhar amefricano sobre a Biblioteconomia e a CI’ realizada no XIII Encontro EDICIC 2022, cujo objetivo foi apresentar uma proposta epistemológica, Bibliotecas de Abya-Yala através de um olhar amefricano que expõe os entrecruzamentos da proposta através do reconhecimento de lugares de enunciação no Sul Global, epistemologias insurgentes, que para Abya-Yala correspondem às filosofias do Sul, quadros analíticos usados ​​para abordar Biblioteconomia e a CI, e um andaime de categorias conceituais que sustentam as discussões em torno desta proposta.
