Body practices and the intervention of the Physical Education professional in the Unified Health System: analysis of a region in the state of Rio Grande do Sul

Resumo: Was aimed in this research to map and to analyze the intervention of the Physical Education professional (PEF) who works in the SUS in the municipalities of the Macro-regions Missioneira and North of Rio Grande do Sul. A questionnaire was applied to 52 managers and health professionals. It was evident that most municipalities offer body practices for the population, but the absence of PEF, the low periodicity of the groups and the target audience having a low presence of the general population result in negative points. As for the perception of health managers and professionals about the PEF, it was noticed that although they report that health is a biopsychosocial well-being, when explaining this concept, they relate health as the absence of diseases. Most PEF did not have in their initial training contents related to public health, which makes it difficult to work in these health places.

Most PEF did not have in their initial training contents related to public health, which makes it difficult to work in these health places.Objetivou-se nesta pesquisa mapear e analisar a intervenção do profissional de Educação Física (PEF) que atua no SUS nos municípios das Macrorregiões Missioneira e Norte do Rio Grande do Sul. Aplicou-se um questionário em 52 gestores e profissionais da Saúde. Evidenciou-se que a maioria dos municípios oferecem práticas corporais para a população, porém, a ausência de PEF, a baixa periodicidade dos grupos e o público-alvo ter baixa presença da população, em geral, resultam em pontos negativos. Quanto à percepção dos gestores e dos profissionais da Saúde sobre o PEF, percebeu-se que, embora eles relatem que a Saúde é um bem-estar biopsicossocial, ao explicar esse conceito, eles relacionam a Saúde como ausência de doenças.
