Resumo: Cowpea cultivars (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Waip) have been tested as to their adaptability and yield stability in seven environments of both Açu-Apodi and Natal microregions of Rio Grande do Norte State, Northeastern Brazil. Eberhart & Russell method of stability analysis was uscd for both brown and cream seed materials, and Finlay & Wilkinson test for white seed materials. With regards to brown and cream seed materials, cultivars like Liso, Mozart, Pitiúba, Sempre Verde, and Alagoas V-4, as well as CNC 21-07E une presented average yield stability and adaptability. The tines CNC 164-03E and CNC 321-1E showed stability and specific adaptation to unfavorable environments. Concerning white seed materials, lines like CNC 177-05E and CNC 177-O1E, and the cultivar Riso do Ano, had average yield stability and wide adaptability. A high degree of yield stability and wide adaptability were characteristics of CNC 176-01E tine

A linha CNC 176-O1E apresentou alta estabilidade produtiva e adaptação ampla.Pesquisa Agropecuaria BrasileiraPesquisa Agropecuária BrasileiraFernandes, João BatistaHolanda, José Simplício deSimplício, Auri AlaécioNeto, Francisco BezerraTorres, JoséNeto, José Rego2014-04-17info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/13686Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira; v.25, n.11, nov. 1990; 1555-1560Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira; v.25, n.11, nov. 1990; 1555-15601678-39210100-104xreponame:Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online)instname:Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)instacron:EMBRAPAporhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/13686/7760info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2014-04-17T14:26:57Zoai:ojs.seer.sct.embrapa.br:article/13686Revistahttp://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pabPRIhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.phppab@sct.embrapa.br || sct.pab@embrapa.br1678-39210100-204Xopendoar:2014-04-17T14:26:57Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online) - Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)false
