Resumo: The use of fast growing cultivars, in herbaceous cotton (G. hirsutum L. var. latifolium Hutch..) has been suggested as an important cohabiting strategy among boll weevil (Anthonomus grandis Boheman) and cotton crop, in the northeast region of Brazil. These cultivars were recommended after the introduction of the pest in this country. The objective of this trial was to compare the adaptability and stability of CNPA Precoce I (fast growing cultivar) and CNPA 6H (late growing cultivar). The bi-segmented model of Eberhart & Russel (1986) and Cruz et al. (1989), was used. The result showed that CNPA Precoce I was more stable than CNPA 6H under unfavorable conditions, but CNPA 6H was more responsive under favorable locations.

Pesquisa Agropecuaria BrasileiraPesquisa Agropecuária Brasileirade Carvalho, Luiz Pauloda Costa, Joaquim Nunesdos Santos, José Wellingtonde Andrade, Francisco Pereira1995-02-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/4294Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira; v.30, n.2, fev. 1995; 207-213Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira; v.30, n.2, fev. 1995; 207-2131678-39210100-104xreponame:Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online)instname:Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)instacron:EMBRAPAporhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/4294/1580info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2010-05-03T18:37:18Zoai:ojs.seer.sct.embrapa.br:article/4294Revistahttp://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pabPRIhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.phppab@sct.embrapa.br || sct.pab@embrapa.br1678-39210100-204Xopendoar:2010-05-03T18:37:18Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online) - Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)false
