Influence of Years and periods of the Year on weight and size of landrace litters

The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of years and periods of the year on weight and size of Landrace litters. A factorial 3 x 2 (years and periods of year) was studied according to a completely randomized design with 40 replications per treatment. Simple correlations were studied in 102 litters at three ages. Statistical differences were observed between years and periods of the year in same analysis. Weight and size of litters at birth and 21 days of age were greater during the dry-cold period. Weight gain of litters until 21 days of age was statistically different between years and periods of the year. However, better weight gain was observed during dry-cold period. Simple correlations between weights, between sizes and between weight and sues were positive and significant but correlations between birth weight and 21 days of age were not significant.
