Resumo: Some aspects of experimental planning for sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.) were analyzed. In particular, plot size and number of replications needs to achieve a given risk or precision levels were studied. The power of the F test is calculated using an estimate of the experimental variance obtained from a uniformity trial as if it were the true parametric value.
