Resumo: The soils were collected at the "Outeiro" farm in Campos (soil no. 23), and at km 10 of the Campos-Macaé road (soil nº 21). Soil applied NO3 increased plant dry weight in both soils while only plants on soil 23 showed a positive response to Mo applied either to the soil or as a spray. Nitrate fertilization resulted in the highest dry weight when applied with Mo and as a spray. Soil applied NO3 + Mo resulted in the second highest dry weight. Nitrate Reductase Activity (NRA) was highest (40%) in soil 23 (over soil 27) when only Mo was applied to the soil. Dry weight and NRA data show a marked difference on the effects of these soils on plant growth. The results show that "tabuleiro soils" is an inadequate designation for that group of soils. And also show that the analytic data obtained through National Program for Soil Analysis (PNARS) does not show all the relevant physical and chemical characteristics of these soils that affected plant growth, in this experiment.

Pesquisa Agropecuaria BrasileiraPesquisa Agropecuária BrasileiraFernandes, M.S.Almeida, D.J.2014-04-15info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/15525Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira; v.17, n.1, jan. 1982; 39-42Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira; v.17, n.1, jan. 1982; 39-421678-39210100-104xreponame:Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online)instname:Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)instacron:EMBRAPAporhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/15525/9490info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2014-04-15T19:45:17Zoai:ojs.seer.sct.embrapa.br:article/15525Revistahttp://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pabPRIhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.phppab@sct.embrapa.br || sct.pab@embrapa.br1678-39210100-204Xopendoar:2014-04-15T19:45:17Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online) - Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)false
