Resumo: Preliminary results of 3 short term experiments to improve the puncture-tapping technique of Hevea brasiliensis. Short bands of 30 cm and 4 punctures per tapping were as effective as 60 cm bands with 8 punctures. Basal application of Ethrel was less effective than directly on the band on which punctures were mede. To the particular case of the clone Fx 25 the better concentration of Ethrel was 75%.

Nesses ensaios foram testados os efeitos das variações no comprimento da faixa vertical, e do local de aplicação de Ethrel. Foi testado também o efeito de pasta obtida da mistura de óleo de linhaça com 15% de Sulfato de Cobre e 15% de Sulfato de Cálcio. Não houve vantagem em realizar a sangria com mais de 4 furos e comprimento de faixa superior a 30 cm. A produção com Ethrel a 7,5% e 4 furos foi superior à obtida com Ethrel a 10% e 4 furos. A 2,5%, a produção foi sensivelmente mais baixa. Melhores resultados foram obtidos com Ethrel aplicado diretamente sobre a faixa onde foram feitos os furos.
