Resumo: The brains of three mice experimentally innoculated with rabid "Pasteur" fixed virus strain and of eleven dogs and six bovines naturally infected with rabies, were examined using the Sainte-Marie's Technique for fixation and paraffin embedding tissues and employing the fluorescent antibody direct staining method. The rabies virus antigen was identified in the brain and cerebellum from all the animals studied and in the salivary gland of six of the dogs and three of the bovines.
