Resumo: Bean seedlings (Phaseolus vulgaris), cv. Turrialba-4, were inoculated with strains of Rhizobium to evaluate the competition ability for nodule sites in soil treated with different rates of lime and presenting initially low population of Rhizobium phaseoli and low Al3+ and M2+ concentration. The Rhizobium strains Car 04, Car 37 and Car 43 were evaluated at five lime rates. Car 43 was better competitor at 5,1 and 5,4 SMP pH values while Car 04 was better at 5.9; 6.2 and 6.7 SMP pH values. The competitive degreee for Car 37 was not altered at the four first lime rates, but decreased at the highest lime rate. For a pH range 5.1 to 6.2 a single linear relationship (R2 = 0.99) was observed between the competition ability for nodule sites of the Car 04 and Car 43 strains and the soil pH. Occurrence of simultaneus reactions of the same nodule to the Car 04 and Semia 487 antisserum was observed, mainly in the 6.2 and 6.7 SMP values. The Rhizobium strains Semia 487, Semia 492, Car 04, Car 37 and Car 43 were evaluated in two lime rates. The occurrence of Semia 487 strain was higher than 80% of nodules, in 5.2 and 6 SMP pH values. The results showed that the effect of lime rates on the competition ability for nodule sites varied with Rhizobium phaseoli strain.

Turrialba-4. Pesquisa Agropecuaria BrasileiraPesquisa Agropecuária BrasileiraVoss, MárcioFreire, João Rui JardimSelbach, Pedro Alberto2014-04-16info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/15524Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira; v.19, n.4, abr. 1984; 433-439Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira; v.19, n.4, abr. 1984; 433-4391678-39210100-104xreponame:Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online)instname:Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)instacron:EMBRAPAporhttps://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pab/article/view/15524/9489info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2014-04-16T19:19:22Zoai:ojs.seer.sct.embrapa.br:article/15524Revistahttp://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pabPRIhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.phppab@sct.embrapa.br || sct.pab@embrapa.br1678-39210100-204Xopendoar:2014-04-16T19:19:22Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online) - Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)false
