Resumo: The objective of this work was to quantify the antibiosis mechanism of different wheat genotypes to C biotype of the greenbug, Schizaphis graminum (Rondani, 1852) (Homoptera: Aphididae). This test was developed at EMBRAPA/CNPT, Passo Fundo, RS, Brazil, and 14 wheat lines and 4 cultivars were maintained in a growth chamber having one bug per plant and ten replications. Parameters assessed were: duration of nymph stages, prereproduction period, reproduction period, longevity of adults, total cycle, number of nymphs/female, and average weight of adult bugs. The results obtained indicate that all lines and Trigo BR 36 cultivar were unfavorable to the development and reproduction of greenbugs.

O ensaio foi desenvolvido na EMBRAPA/CNPT, Passo Fundo, RS. Em delineamento completamente casualizado, com dez repetições, mantiveram-se 14 linhagens e 4 cultivares em câmara de crescimento, com densidade populacional de um pulgão/planta. Foram avaliados o número de estádios ninfais, os períodos pré-reprodutivo e reprodutivo, a longevidade dos adultos, o ciclo total, o número de ninfas/fêmea e o peso médio de adultos.
