Resumo: Guatambu (Aspidosperma parvifolium A. DC.) is a species that faces extinction in different regions of Brazil. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of photoperiod on germination of guatambu seeds at 25°C. The statistical procedure used was factorial design with two factors. Factor A was seed lots (Mother tree A, B, and C) and factor B was photoperiod (dark and 12 h of photoperiod). Guatambu seeds are not affected by photoperiod condition during the germination process.

Visando obter maiores informações sobre a espécie, o objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a influência do fotoperíodo na germinação de suas sementes a 25 °C. O procedimento estatístico adotado foi esquema fatorial com dois fatores. O fator A, foi composto pelos lotes das sementes (Árvore matriz A, B e C) e o fator B foi o fotoperíodo (escuro e fotoperíodo de 12 h).
