Resumo: The proposal of this study is to present an analysis of the interrelationship of the right to information and the right to adequate food and as the first constitutes an essential requirement and a tool so that the second can be properly enjoyed by their holders. Therefore, based on the principles of universality and indivisibility of the human rights, the relations between these fundamental rights, their legal prescription, advances and violations identified in the Brazilian case due to non-observance of the guarantee of access to qualified information were analyzed, which makes informed choice unattainable.
