Resumo: | Barnyardgrass (Echinochloa spp.) infestation is very high and results in significant yield losses inpaddy rice in Santa Catarina State. The objective of this study was to evaluate quinclorac resistance of Echinochloa spp. ecotypes in rice fields and to test the susceptibility of these populations to herbicides bispyribac-sodium andcyhalofop-butyl. Three barnyardgrass populations were evaluated: ECH 33, ECH 37 and ECH 38, compared to a resistant (ECH 13) and a susceptible (ECH 17) ecotype. The experiment was carried-out in a greenhouse. Herbicide treatments were: quinclorac, cyhalofop-butyl and bispyribac-sodium. The ecotypes ECH 38 and ECH 13 are resistantto quinclorac, but ECH 17, ECH 33 and ECH 37 are susceptible. Ecotypes ECH 38 and ECH 13, resistant toquinclorac, are controlled by cyhalofop-butyl and bispyribac-sodium. |

O capim-arroz (Echinochloa spp.) é uma das principais plantas daninhas que causam prejuízos ao arroz irrigado. O controle químico é o método mais utilizado pelos agricultores para esta planta daninha. O objetivodeste trabalho foi verificar a ocorrência de resistência de capim-arroz ao herbicida quinclorac em populações oriundas de lavouras de arroz irrigado de Santa Catarina e testar a suscetibilidade destas populações aos herbicidas bispyribac-sodium e cyhalofop-butyl. Foram avaliados três ecótipos de capim-arroz (ECH 33, ECH 37 e ECH 38), oriundos de lavouras com suspeita de ocorrência de resistência, e dois ecótipos comparativos: ECH 13 (resistente) e ECH 17 (suscetível). O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação. Foram testadas doses crescentes dos herbicidas quinclorac, cyhalofop e bispyribac. Dentre as cinco populações de capim-arroz avaliadas, somente a ECH 38 e a ECH 13 foram resistentes ao quinclorac. As populações ECH 13 (testemunha) e ECH 38, resistentes ao quinclorac, são controladas pelos herbicidas cyhalofop e bispyribac. Os ecótipos ECH 17, ECH 33 e ECH 37foram suscetíveis aos herbicidas quinclorac, cyhalofop e bispyribac.
