Resumo: | In the design of drainage structures, it is necessary to know the intensites of short-term rain. However, such information is not always available. The method of disaggregating maximum daily rainfall is widely used to estimate rainfall in locations with no pluviograph data. This study had the objective of adjusting an alternative equation to obtain the intensity duration-frequency relations of rains, through the disaggregation of maximum daily rain based on the relationship between intense rains of different durations observed in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The adjusted equations allow to estimate the rain height and the intensity of the rain, for duratons between 5 and 1.440 minutes. The model adjusted for Santa Catarina presents values up to 17% lower than those obtained for the model adjusted for Brazil. |

No dimensionamento de estruturas de drenagem é necessário o conhecimento das intensidades de chuva de curta duração. No entanto, tais informações nem sempre estão disponíveis. O método da desagregação da chuva máxima diária é amplamente utilizado para a estimatva da chuva em locais com ausência de dados pluviográficos. Esse estudo teveo objetivo de ajustar uma equação alternativa para a obtenção das relações Intensidade-Duração-Frequência de chuvas pela desagregação da chuva máxima diária com base nas relações entre chuvas intensas de diferentes durações observadas em Santa Catarina. As equações ajustadas permitem estimar a altura pluviométrica e a intensidade da chuva para durações entre 5 e 1.440 minutos.
