Forage quality of winter and summer anual grasses under nitrogen fertilization and pig slurry

Resumo: Nutrient accumulation and forage quality were evaluated in a field experiment in Chapecó, Southern Brazil, with different grasses and nitrogen fertilization. The treatments were a combination of the nitrogen sources: ammoniumnitrate (AN) and pig slurry (PS), applied at the rates of 0, 60, 120 and 180kg/ha of N before seeding the annual grasses: pearl millet in the summer and black oat + Italian ryegrass in the winter. Nutrient accumulation, crude protein (CP),acid detergent fiber (ADF), in vitro organic matter digestibility (IVOMD) and total nutrient digestibility (TND) were evaluated in the dry matter. Both N sources linearly increased CP content in pearl millet and oat + ryegrass forage. The variables IVOMD, ADF and TND were not affected by nitrogen. Nutrient accumulation increased by increasing N ratesfrom both sources. In comparison to AN, PS increased the absorption of P, K and Zn in all forage plants.

Em um experimento de campo conduzido na Região Oeste de Santa Catarina foram avaliados parâmetros qualitativos de forragens relacionados com a adubação orgânica e a mineral. Os tratamentos constaram de duas fontes de nitrogênio: nitrato de amônio (NA) e esterco de suínos (ES), aplicados nas doses de zero, 60, 120 e 180kg/ha de N nasemeadura de milheto e consórcio de aveia + azevém. No início do florescimento, coletaram-se amostras da parte aérea das plantas para análise dos parâmetros qualitativos: digestibilidade in vitro, teores de proteína bruta, nutrientes digestíveis totais e fibra bruta; e quantidade de nutrientes acumulados na matéria seca (MS). Os resultados mostraram um aumento linear no teor de proteína bruta da forragem em função das doses de N aplicadas. Os demais parâmetros qualitativos da forragem não foram afetados. A adubação nitrogenada, além de aumentar o teor de N na forragem, proporcionou maior acúmulo de outros nutrientes nas plantas, melhorando a qualidade nutricional da forragem. Emcomparação ao NA, o ES proporcionou maior acúmulo de P, K e Zn na forragem.
