Resumo: The Brazilian Psychiatric Reform (BPR) has driven the creation of CAPS, strategic services for deinstitutionalization and as a replacement for the asylum model of psychiatric hospitals. Among them, CAPSi is included, which provides care for children and adolescents with severe psychological distress, aiming at care in freedom, the promotion of community life, and user autonomy. The success of the BPR depends on the engagement of CAPS professionals and the collaboration of a network of substitute services. General objective: To understand the perspective of healthcare professionals in a CAPSi regarding care based on the Psychiatric Reform. Specific objectives: To investigate the agents operating the Psychiatric Reform and to identify the care provided at a CAPSi. Methodology: Conducting qualitative, individual, and semi-structured interviews with all professionals at a CAPSi facility in the Federal District. Results: The analysis of 23 interviews revealed a conceptual agreement, involvement of agents, and provision of care aligned with the model of the Psychiatric Reform. Conclusions: The care is in accordance with the Psychiatric Reform, but it requires constant evaluation and monitoring to prevent potential iatrogenic effects.
