Profile of patients with skin lesions hospitalized in an inpatient unit of a medical clinic

Resumo: Objective: define the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients with skin lesions hospitalized in an inpatient unit of a medical clinic. Methods: cross-sectional study, with the participation of 50 patients with skin lesions. Data collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and association in the SPSS program. Results: there was a predominance of male patients, with a mean age of 55 years, with lesions resulting from diabetic foot, with the presence of comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus and systemic arterial hypertension, using antibiotics, hospitalization time of more than one month and with lesions characterized by the presence of swelling and pain. Conclusions: the characterization of patients affected with skin lesions, through the assessment of sociodemographic and clinical aspects, contributes to the development and implementation of integral, systematized and humanized care
