Resumo: Objective: To analyze how the Nursing team at the Surgical Center of a public hospital experiences humanization in the work environment.Method: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional, exploratory research with a quantitative approach, carried out in the operating room of a public hospital in the Federal District . Results: The sample consisted of fifty-eight (58) professionals, including nurses and technicians. 42 (72.4%) females prevailed, with a predominance of nurses 30 (51.7%) working in the current unit for more than five years 23 (39.7%). Humanized work environment 39 (67.2%), welcoming the user 49 (84.5%). Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a lack of humanization aimed at nursing professionals, the need for a more favorable environment for humanized care was expressed, facilitating their activities not only with a technical and scientific profile, but also with a warmer, closer profile. user and co-workers.

Resultados: A amostra foi composta por cinqüenta e oito (58) profissionais entre Enfermeiros e Técnicos. Prevaleceu o sexo feminino 42 (72,4%), com predomínio de enfermeiros 30 (51,7%) trabalhando na unidade atual há mais de cinco anos 23 (39,7%). Ambiente de trabalho humanizado 39 (67,2%), com acolhimento ao usuário 49 (84,5%).
