Intercurrences in the use of hyaluronic acid in lip fillers and rhinomodeling: possible causes and treatments

With the rise of social networks, the search for the perfect image has increased dramatically in recent decades, creating a connection between the human being between feeling good and more attractive with the performance of aesthetic procedures, among the main ones, lip filling and rhinomodeling. with hyaluronic acid. The technique consists of injecting the raw material within the anatomical limitations of the lips or nose, and, like any aesthetic procedure, it presents risks of complications that must be managed quickly, in order to nullify or minimize more serious consequences. In order to carry out this article, the literature review method was used, where in the databases Google academic, Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDBTD), Scientific electronic library Online (SciELO) and Annals of Internal Medicine were used the descriptors: Advanced aesthetics, facial harmonization with hyaluronic acid and complications in facial fillers. We found 89 articles related to the aforementioned titles, of which only 36 met the selection criteria that were based on: documents in Portuguese and English that portrayed facial harmonization procedures, emphasizing lip filling and rhinomodeling, possible complications, its causes and treatments. After a thorough reading, evaluation and synthesis of the texts and documents found, it can be concluded that professionals who perform such techniques should always update their knowledge about facial anatomy, correct choice and execution of filling techniques and management of possible complications.
