Resumo: Gynecological cancers are an important public health problem in the world, especially in less developed regions. To describe the sociodemographic profiles of women treated with gynecological cancer at the Dr. Ary Pinheiro Base Hospital (HBAP), in Porto Velho – RO, in the quadrennial from 2012 to 2015. This is an analytical study of secondary data provided by HBAP and literary review. There were predominant cases of breast cancer and uterine cervix, most of them women aged between 40 and 59 years, in the white and yellow races, mostly from the micro region of Porto Velho and Ariquemes. The results point to the need for new health strategies, as well as primary and secondary prevention, in view of the large number of women diagnosed with gynecological cancers.

Descrever os perfis sociodemográfico das mulheres atendidas com Câncer ginecológicos no Hospital de Base Dr. Ary Pinheiro (HBAP), em Porto Velho – RO, no quadriênio de 2012 a 2015. Trata-se de um estudo analítico de dados secundários fornecidos pelo HBAP e de revisão literária. Houve predominância de casos de Câncer de Mama e do Colo Uterino, grande parte destas mulheres situadas na faixa etária de 40 a 59 anos, nas raças brancas e amarelas, e em sua grande maioria provenientes da Microrregião de Porto Velho e Ariquemes.
