Resumo: Obesity is one of the problems that make up the role of public health and requires intervention by several health professionals, among them the role of the pharmacist is highlighted, as sometimes pharmacological interventions are needed to help in the process of weight loss to achieve health, so the pharmacist's guidance is essential for understanding the patient and their family of risks and benefits. To analyze how pharmaceutical guidance contributes to awareness of the rational use of medications for patients with childhood obesity. The materials used were articles published between the years 2015 to 2021, only researched on reliable research platforms: SciELO (Scientific Electronic Lirary Online), Academic Google and Lilacs - Bireme (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Sciences of health). Systematic literature review, applying the qualitative research method. Results and discussion: The treatment of obesity is an alternative method to control the serious physical changes caused by non-drug and drug treatments. Medicines have always been good allies in the weight loss process, but combined with complementary alternatives, such as physical exercise and changes in eating behavior. It is concluded that pharmacists who treat obesity are the most qualified professionals to provide information on the use of drugs for anorexia and drug therapies and for obesity, the risks involved in the treatment and the effects of the treatment.

Sustenere Publishing2021-10-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/641810.6008/CBPC2236-9600.2022.001.0031Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 No. 1 (2022): Scire Salutis - Out, Nov, Dez 2021, Jan 2022; 279-286Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 Núm. 1 (2022): Scire Salutis - Out, Nov, Dez 2021, Jan 2022; 279-286Scire Salutis; v. 12 n. 1 (2022): Scire Salutis - Out, Nov, Dez 2021, Jan 2022; 279-2862236-9600reponame:Scire Salutisinstname:Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)instacron:ESSporenghttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/6418/3512https://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/6418/3513Copyright (c) 2021 Scire Salutishttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMarquez, Carolinne de OliveiraDias, Denise Araújo2023-01-04T20:16:22Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6418Revistahttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutisONGhttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutis/oai||carlos@arvore.org.br2236-96002236-9600opendoar:2023-01-04T20:16:22Scire Salutis - Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)false
