Resumo: Sialorrhea, excessive salivation, has an impact on the health and quality of life of affected patients. Because of this, over the years, alternative therapeutic measures such as anticholinergic drugs have emerged, as well as surgery, and currently, the use of botulinum toxin has shown positive results in patients. The objective was to carry out an integrative review of the pharmacological treatments applied to pulicated sialorrhea in the last ten years, as well as to analyze the benefits resulting from these treatments. In conclusion, pharmacological interventions have demonstrated efficacy and safety in the treatment of sialorrhea in patients with neurological diseases.
