Resumo: This paper discusses the implications of memory in Brazilian Pentecostalism. We will take advantage of the reinterpretation of the past relating to the founding of the Assemblies of God, especially Frida Vingren. Memory is a social reference points marked by historical and social. For our analysis we will follow the theoretical memory Halbwachs and Assmann. The memory is related to religious tradition, ie, has the function of preserving and reproducing the religious traditions of a particular group.

Faremos isso a partir das ressignificações do passado referente aos fundadores das Assembleias de Deus, em especial Frida Vingren. A memória é uma construção social marcada por pontos de referência histórico-sociais.
