Pastoral Care: approaches of counseling to people living with HIV/AIDS

Resumo: There are several moments in our life when we go through crisis situations. However, we cannot always face them alone and need to seek the help of others who are able see the situation from another perspective. Through this research, we seek to reflect and point out  some ideas within Practical Theology (Pastoral Care) in order to help people who live and coexist  with HIV/AIDS so that they can find ways to live in a positive way and with quality. Pastoral care for people living with HIV/AIDS, besides offering comfort in the crisis situation, must also have an educational character and offer a space in which people may find information and ask questions about treatment, health care and prevention, going beyond the comfort and emotional support.

Entretanto, nem sempre conseguimos sair delas sozinhos e precisamos buscar ajuda de outras pessoas que auxiliam a ver a situação sob outro ângulo. Buscamos através desta pesquisa fazer algumas reflexões e apontamentos no âmbito da teologia prática (cuidado pastoral) com o objetivo de auxiliar as pessoas que vivem e convivem com HIV/AIDS para que elas possam encontrar maneiras de viver a vida de forma positiva, com qualidade.
