The liturgy of the Eucharistic Celebration presented by the media, especially television, is a form used for many years by the Roman Catholic Church as a way to promote the spirituality of those people who for some reason can´t go to the churches. Is the participation in the Eucharist through the TV valid? Do we not run the risk of failing in the evangelical purpose by not participating in the congregation in person? What is the purpose of the transmission of the Mass on TV? What are the theological and pastoral implications involved in a televised Mass? With so many questions the Church began to worry more about the Media and especially TV after Vatican II, with the Inter Mirifica Decree. This paper analyzes these issues in the light of this document.
