Musical-theology: an analysis of the influence of the hypermodern in songs in the IECLB

Resumo: This article approached concept hypermodern in connection with songs sung in worship, on the assumption the contemporary songs sung in communities IECLB, has suffered great influency of individualism, selfishness and self-satisfaction typical of this today's time. Through a literature exploration, the text presents the central aspects of the concept of hypermodern, music and Christian lyrics. The text focuses on an analysis of intentional and creative ability of human beings  as well as important concepts for a theologically coherent definition of music. The article concludes that all songs have a certain theology and, for this reason, those who have the "power" to choose them also has the responsibility of organizing their choices form to teach a coherent Cristian theology.
