The aim of this paper is the problematization of issues which emerge from reflections carried out based on theoretical resources from the area of discussions between media and religion. When these are put in tension with observational contents they can help us to clarify the use of the Christian doctrine by forms of religious expression in the media. Specifically, it seeks to argue that there is a subversion of one of the basic tenets of the Christian doctrine by these new religious expressions that appear in the media. The promise of salvation is no longer a Christian ideal to be achieved after death but has becomes materialized. The salvation that is offered is of material nature, that is, financial capital, health, emotional stability become ways in which God's grace works to promote the salvation of man in the storms of life on earth.
