A educação é um direito (constitucional) de todos e todas. No entanto, para pessoas com necessidades especiais a educação tem se mostrado um desafio, desde o respeito aos direitos adquiridos, à execução da educação com qualidade. Nesse processo, a pessoa com necessidade especial não sofre isoladamente, mas atinge toda a estrutura familiar. A pergunta que se coloca é como a família reage e se envolve no processo de inclusão escolar. A partir de pesquisa bibliográfica busca-se compreender a família na contemporaneidade, a Educação Inclusiva a partir dos marcos legais, para, então, relacionar o envolvimento familiar na Educação Inclusiva. Uma família com pessoa com necessidade especial passa por desafios cotidianos na sociedade em busca tanto de aceitação como dos direitos; a educação é mais um espaço deste desafio.This study seeks to reflect about inclusive education and the reflexes of the process of inclusion on the family. Education is a (constitutional) right of all. However, for persons with special needs education has been shown to be a challenge, beginning with the respect of acquired rights to the fulfillment of quality education. In this process the person with special needs does not suffer in isolation but the whole family structure is affected. The question put forth is how does the family react and involve itself in the process of school inclusion? Based on bibliographic research the quest is to understand the family in contemporaneity, inclusive education based on legal points, in order to, then, relate family involvement in inclusive education.
