O trabalho está dividido em três capítulos, da seguinte maneira: no primeiro capítulo será feita uma breve retrospectiva histórica da catequese na Igreja, detém-se em analisá-la nos diversos documentos conciliares e no seu impacto posterior até nossos dias. No segundo capítulo, serão feitas considerações acerca da catequese como educação da fé. Tendo como foco seu principal agente: o catequista. Desta maneira destacaremos sua pessoa e sua formação permanente, atendendo às dimensões fundamentais do seu ser, saber, saber fazer e saber conviver. O terceiro e último capítulo, em resposta aos desafios da evangelização hoje, principalmente na transmissão da fé cristã e com o intuito de elaborar subsidio de formação pastoral, com inspiração catecumenal, apresentará um itinerário metodológico, tendo como modelo o processo catequético utilizado por Jesus, na abordagem feita aos discípulos de Emaús ( Lc 24, 13-35) e a Samaritana ( Jo 4, 5-42). E ainda, a reflexão do texto-base da Terceira Semana Brasileira de Catequese, realizada em Indaiatuba (SP), de 07 a 12 de outubro de 2009; com o tema: “Catequese, caminho para o discipulado”; o documento 105 - , o “Ano do Laicato”, com o tema: “Cristãos leigos e leigas, sujeitos na ‘Igreja em saída’, a serviço do Reino”; o documento 107- Iniciação à Vida Cristã: itinerário para formar discípulos missionários e nas exortações pastorais do Papa Francisco; que através de seu livro intitulado Saiam em busca de corações – Mensagens aos catequistas e aos peregrinos – incentiva a nova geração a espalhar a sabedoria divina de Deus pelo mundo.The present work of the professional master's degree aims to ascertain through the presentation of the conciliar documents referring to catechesis and other bibliographies, to what extent catechesis can play its transforming role, in the face of the new paradigms that sustain the current society. The work is divided into three chapters, as follows: in the first chapter a brief historical retrospective of catechesis in the Church will be done, analyzed in the various conciliar documents and their subsequent impact to the present day. In the second chapter, considerations will be made about catechesis as the education of the faith. Focusing on its main agent: the catechist. In this way we will highlight your person and your permanent formation, attending to the fundamental dimensions of your being, knowing, knowing how to do and knowing how to live. The third and final chapter, in response to the challenges of evangelization today, especially in the transmission of the Christian faith and with the intention of elaborating a pastoral formation subsidy with a catechumenal inspiration, will present a methodological itinerary, modeled on the catechetical process used by Jesus, in the approach taken to the disciples at Emmaus (Luke 24, 13-35) and the Samaritan woman (Jn 4: 5-42).
