O trabalho está inserido na linha de pesquisa Dimensões do cuidado e práticas sociais e está configurado como uma pesquisa bibliográfica. A Gestalt-terapia possui um olhar existencialista e humanista, que possibilita a visão holística do ser humano como um ser de constante evolução e aprendizado. As etapas do Itinerário Espiritual condizem com um processo de crescimento integral em uma travessia que corresponde a uma experiência de profundidade que existe em todo ser humano. No primeiro capítulo, é descrita a identidade do profissional terapeuta conhecido como psicólogo e, logo depois, são retratados os terapeutas do deserto e sua caminhada dentro do Itinerário Espiritual, discorrendo cada etapa desse processo. No segundo capítulo, descreve-se os principais conceitos da teoria da Gestalt-terapia. No terceiro capítulo, constrói-se uma correlação entre essas duas dimensões para demonstrar que o Itinerário Espiritual pode ser visualizado sob a ótica da Gestalt-terapia com o intuito de auxiliar no processo de crescimento psicológico do ser humano.This paper has the goal of establishing possible relations between the theoretical contribution of the Gestalt-therapy and the process known as Spiritual Itinerary based on the writings of Philo about Therapists of Alexandria. The work is inserted in the line of research Dimensions of care giving and social practices and is configured as a bibliographic research. Gestalt-therapy has an existentialist and humanist look which makes possible a holistic perception of the human being as a being of constant evolution and learning. The stages of the Spiritual Itinerary are consistent with a process of holistic growth in a crossing which corresponds to an experience of depth which exists in every human being. In the first chapter, the identity of the professional therapist known as a psychologist is described and soon after, the therapists of the desert and their journey within the Spiritual Itinerary are portrayed, describing each stage of this process. In the second chapter, the main concepts of the theory of Gestalt-therapy are described.
