A pesquisa se organiza em quatro capítulos. No primeiro, é feita uma análise sobre o chamado ao discipulado levando em conta os passos presentes no texto de Marcos 3.14. No segundo, após rever o processo do chamado feito por Cristo aos discípulos, busca-se entender o que é um discípulo, a sua formação dentro da teologia bíblica, características e o significado de ser um discípulo de Jesus. O terceiro capítulo descreve uma compreensão, definições e benefícios do discipulado, levando em consideração os princípios bíblicos do discipulado de Jesus, e a junção entre discipulado e missão evangelística, visando à implantação do processo discipulador na igreja local. Já o quarto capítulo ressalta a relevância e contribuição do discipulado na prevenção da evasão dos novos membros e assim conter a apostasia no âmbito da igreja local. Por fim, é apresentada uma conclusão do estudo, dando uma predominante no discipulado como um estilo de vida e mostrando as cinco vantagens do discipulado na estrutura missiológica de uma igreja discipuladora.The goal of this study is to present a more ecclesiastical comprehension about the process of discipleship and its applicability in the local church, taking in account the theological, pastoral and biblical context of some passages of the Holy Scriptures, especially the passage of the Gospel of Mark 3:14. The research is organized in four chapters. In the first one, an analysis is made of the calling to discipleship taking into account the steps present in the text of Mark 3:14. In the second one, after reviewing the process of Jesus’ calling the disciples, one seeks to understand what a disciple is, their formation within Biblical theology, characteristics and the meaning of being a disciple of Jesus. The third chapter describes a comprehension, definitions and benefits of discipleship, taking into consideration the Biblical principle of Jesus’ discipleship and the joining of discipleship and evangelistic mission, aiming at the implantation of the discipleship process in the local church. The fourth chapter highlights the relevance and contribution of discipleship in the prevention of the evasion of new members and thus contains the apostasy within the local church ambience.
